Thyroid Cancer
A thyroid cancer diagnosis can have serious implications for a patient, even when it doesn’t cause life threatening illness or death. There is no such thing as a “good type of cancer”. There are many types of thyroid cancer (such as papillary, follicular, Hurthle-cell/oncocytic, medullary, poorly differentiated, and anaplastic thyroid cancer), and the same type of thyroid cancer can have very different behavior in different patients.
